Farm Work Parties!

Grand Island: Sat July 13th

  • WORK 10:30am – 2:30pm We’ve got lots of little plants that need to be planted for the fall and winter crops so that will be our top priority job. In addition there’s always things that need weeding and watering. We’ll provide gloves, tools, snacks & drinks.
  • FOOD & FUN:  Hike down to the river, cool off, swim and float down to the park if you want to then come back to the farm for a Potluck BBQ Dinner & Campout. Bring a dish to share, something to put on the BBQ, a musical instrument if you’re so inclined and your tent if you want to sleep in the farm fields under the stars.

Luscher Farm: Sat Sept 14th

  • WORK 1-5pm This will be our own BIG DIG as we harvest the last of the summer potatoes.  There will also be other opportunities to help with weeding & watering. We’ll provide gloves, tools, snacks & drinks.
  • FOOD & FUN:  Bring something for the potluck BBQ and join us for dinner and merriment after a hard days work.

Please come prepared for the work & weather with sturdy shoes or boots, raingear and/or sunscreen. We’ll try to have opportunities for folks of all ages and abilities.
