Hood River Valley Winter/Spring Fruit CSA

Kiyokawa Family Orchards has been growing the finest produce available since 1911. Our orchard is family-owned and operated in Parkdale, Oregon. We’re proud to be a part of the famous Hood River Valley, where the nation’s finest apples and pears are grown. Kiyokawa is a 3rd generation family farm in Hood River. The family and the orchard have some pretty amazing stories. Randy Kiyokawa's grandfather immigrated from Japan in 1905 and started farming in Hood River in 1911. His grandfather met his grandmother in internment camps, and once they were released in 1951, his grandparents bought a 25-acre plot in Parkdale, which has served as the nucleus of the farm ever since. Randy also took part in helping kick-off the organic and no spray movement in Hood River fruit production after the Alar scare of the 1980s. Randy credits his success to his valued employees, many of whom have been with the family for over 30 years. Their strong work ethic has provided a solid foundation that has allowed the farm to grow and diversify into Farmers Markets, stores, restaurants and CSAs.
