The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (or SNAP) offers nutrition assistance to millions of eligible, low-income individuals and families and provides economic benefits to communities.

If you qualify, you can order one of our regular summer CSA shares through SNAP. It’s a pretty good deal, and this year, if you weren’t a member of any CSA last year, you can also add Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) to your SNAP membership – they provide matching funds which make a CSA membership even more affordable!

Signing up for a SNAP or SNAP + Double Up Food Bucks share involves a little paperwork, but it’s relatively easy. Here’s how it works:

1. Choose the size of share you’d like: Half CSA share (good for two people) or Whole CSA share (usually good for families)
2. Check out as you normally would BUT
3. Be sure to choose “Pay by check or with SNAP benefits” as your payment option
4. Finish checking out
5. And then email Laura with your information so she can get the process started.
